It was really great to have the first club diving trip in more than 6 months — COVID19 put so many long planned expeditions out of question. As soon as it became possible, three OUUEG divers decided to explore St Andrews Lake — a flooded chalk quarry in Kent (https://www.standrewsdiving.co.uk/).

The weather forecast for the day was pretty bad, but we are not afraid of a little bit f rain! Even better — the rain stopped the moment we arrived. It may already be October, but the water temperature was at comfortable +17° on the surface, although dropping to +8° below 12 m depth.

With only few more divers and swimmers enjoying the Lake on the day it was easy to keep social distance and stay safe.

Each of us did two dives and we saw some underwater attractions — sunken boats, van, and even an airplane.
